decisions, decisions, decisions

THANKS to everyone for your thoughts and prayers! It means so much to me!

Jim and I are trying to decide if we should try to find a doctor at MD Anderson at least for a second opinion. Yes, they are the best in the country! I'd love to be taken care of by the best. The downside is that it usually takes 6-8 weeks to get an appointment, and the process will begin all over. Also, the traveling. With 3 kids, you really can't be gone ALL day for a simple appointment. Plus, I don't know if I want to be that far away. The commute would be tough on Jim and the rest of my family.
So here we are, what do we do? How much time should we take deciding? OOOHHH the questions with no real answers! You don't want to make the wrong one!

Hi Friend,
Just letting you know you're in my thoughts & prayers. You are in God's loving hands. HE will be with you through this "valley". Let us know how we can help.
By the way...I went home yesterday and checked my boobies...

Terrie,
I will be praying for you and your family. My heart goes out to you. I have had recent experiences with family members fighting cancer, one at MDA and the other locally. I would be happy to talk with you if you have questions. Jim knows how to reach me. Again, my prayers are with you. God bless,

Terri Fletcher

Dear Terrie~
I don't think we've met (although your picture looks awful familiar). I heard about your diagnosis from Dale Rumsey. I love how you are facing this head on with honesty and asking for prayers. It is my privilege to take your situation to Jesus in prayer. I can't wait to hear how He is going to work in your body and in your entire family. Stay strong and keep the faith! You have a beautiful family!

And for what it's worth...I'd go to Houston. Seriously!

Your Sister in Christ,
Jennifer Barber

Terrie, we are with you in prayer and in our thoughts. Please, don't hesitate to ask us for anything. I have a very close friend who is beating ovarian cancer right now. Like others have said and what I've learned is that the power of positive thinking is essential. Lots of love. -- Tobey and Lance
